Introducing Mostafa – MENA Rep
Meet Mostafa Shahat – Middle East and North Africa Representative at StudySearch, Mostafa is based in Cairo and is the main contact for all Middle East and North Africa enquiries and students registered with StudySearch.
Mostafa has been working in the field of social entrepreneurship and international education for over 5 years. An Egyptian national Mostafa’s enthusiasm for social change led him to found GOL (Goal oriented learners). Funded by Ashoka Youth Venture and Hosted by IRC – US Embassy in Cairo, GOL is a youth community dedicated to engaging and training young people in North Africa to improve their employability skills and give them access to the jobs market.
Mostafa has been the recipient of several prestigious scholarships and awards that have enabled him to travel the world and work with high profile social impact organisations such as IBM, Ashoka, Mercy Corps and the Institute of International Education. Mostafa was awarded a full tuition scholarship funded by Stanford University for The American Middle Eastern Network for Dialogue (AMENDS conference). Likewise In 2011 Mostafa received a full tuition scholarship to attend The Social Entrepreneurship program at Connecticut University.
When he’s not tackling the employability skills gap in North Africa Mostafa can be found speaking and learning at social impact conferences around the world like the “Creative Entrepreneurship & Active Citizenship conference” in Thessaloniki, Greece and the Connecting Culture Training conference in Oman amongst others.
